United Search & Rescue Recovers Vehicle Swept up by high tide in the NY Harbor

USAR put their heavy duty military truck to good use recovering a vehicle that had been swept away by the high tide of the NY harbor.

It was a long night for  the volunteers weathering freezing temperatures, and a stubborn frozen waterway that refused (at first) to give up the vehicle. When attempting to retrieve the vehicle using tow ropes and run of the mill pickup trucks produced little results, USAR mobilized its big bad recovery truck, formerly used by the U.S. military.
